The Beretta Model 1934 is a compact, semi-automatic pistol which was issued as a standard service firearm to the Italian armed forces beginning in 1934. It is chambered for the 9 mm Corto, more commonly known as the .380 ACP.
The slide is inscribed on the left side with P. BERETTA Cal 9. CORTO Mo 1934 BREVETTE GARDONE VT then the date 1936 and the Roman numerals XIV.
On the rear left frame is stamped Crown over RE (Regio Esercito) meaning Army. Serial no. 514297
